Which actor plays campaign manager Jennifer Barkley?

Kathryn Hahn plays campaign manager Jennifer Barkley.

Jennifer is introduced as the highly capable political operative hired to run Bobby Newport’s Pawnee City Council campaign. The Newport family promises her $250,000, and she treats the job as a lucrative assignment rather than a personal cause. Her cool, strategic style makes her one of Leslie Knope’s most formidable political opponents.

Jennifer’s campaign tactics include television spin, attack advertising, and reframing damaging stories about Bobby. Although she openly acknowledges Leslie’s intelligence and occasionally gives her useful advice, she remains committed to defeating her. Their rivalry is especially prominent in the fourth-season storyline surrounding the Pawnee City Council election.

Kathryn Hahn is known for combining sharp comedic timing with intense, scene-stealing performances. Jennifer Barkley is one of several memorable recurring political figures in the series, alongside Bobby Newport, played by Paul Rudd, and Councilman Jeremy Jamm, played by Jon Glaser. Jennifer is sometimes confused with other campaign or government characters, but the role belongs to Hahn.
