Which actor played surgeon Robert Chase in House M.D.?

Jesse Spencer played surgeon Robert Chase in House M.D.

Chase is one of House's original diagnostic fellows and brings surgical training to the team. His background gives the group a different perspective from Foreman's neurology and Cameron's immunology. Over the series, Chase develops from a younger doctor seeking approval into a more independent physician with his own judgment and leadership responsibilities.

Spencer, an Australian actor, joined the principal cast at the beginning of House M.D. and remained associated with the character through the series. He later became widely known for playing Matthew Casey on Chicago Fire. His House M.D. role was one of the program's longest-running team parts.

Chase is sometimes mistaken for another member of House's original team. Omar Epps played Eric Foreman, Jennifer Morrison played Allison Cameron, and Hugh Laurie played House. The actor connected specifically with Robert Chase is Jesse Spencer.
