Which actor later known for Friends played Karen's boyfriend Michael on The Wonder Years?

David Schwimmer played Karen Arnold’s boyfriend Michael on The Wonder Years.

Michael is Karen’s live-in boyfriend during her freshman year of college. He is portrayed as a hippie like Karen but as more level-headed and mature, and Kevin looks up to him as a role model. Michael eventually earns Jack Arnold’s respect by taking a job in Alaska and demonstrating that he is prepared to support a family.

Schwimmer appeared as Michael in four episodes spanning seasons four and five, before becoming internationally famous as Ross Geller on Friends. That later role is why the question describes him as an actor “later known for Friends.”

The distractors include Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry, who became famous as Joey Tribbiani and Chandler Bing, respectively, but neither played Michael. David Crane was a Friends co-creator, not the actor in this role.
