Which 2026 Lollapalooza act won the Swedish talent show Talang in 2008?

Zara Larsson won the Swedish talent show Talang in 2008. She was 10 years old when she won the inaugural Swedish edition of the Got Talent franchise, receiving prize money of 500,000 Swedish kronor.

Larsson performed Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” in the final. The televised victory gave her an unusually early public profile, and the song was later issued as her debut single in Sweden. It reached number seven on the Swedish Singles Chart and remained on the chart for six consecutive weeks.

Winning Talang was an important first step, but it was not the same as becoming an established international pop star overnight. Larsson later built her global career through releases such as “Uncover,” “Lush Life,” “Never Forget You” with MNEK and “Symphony” with Clean Bandit. The common confusion is with later Swedish stars such as Robyn and Tove Lo, neither of whom won Talang 2008.
