The 2026 Lollapalooza act whose debut album Sunlight reached number two in Australia is Spacey Jane.
Spacey Jane are an Australian indie-rock band formed in 2017 in Fremantle, Western Australia. Their debut studio album, Sunlight, was released on June 12, 2020, through AWAL. It peaked at number two on the ARIA Albums Chart and later received an ARIA Gold certification.
The album helped establish the band nationally, combining guitar-driven indie rock with bright melodies and emotionally direct songwriting. It also topped Triple J’s annual album poll, while songs such as “Booster Seat” and “Lots of Nothing” expanded the group’s audience beyond Australia’s alternative-music circuit.
A common mix-up is confusing Sunlight’s number-two album peak with Spacey Jane’s later album Here Comes Everybody, which reached number one. Their 2025 album If That Makes Sense also peaked at number two, so Sunlight is specifically identified by its debut status and its 2020 release date.
