Which 2020 film became the final X-Men movie released by 20th Century Fox?

The New Mutants became the final X-Men movie released by 20th Century Fox.

The New Mutants was released in 2020 and follows a group of young mutants held in a secret facility while learning to control their powers. The principal characters include Dani Moonstar, Rahne Sinclair, Illyana Rasputin, Sam Guthrie, and Roberto da Costa. Josh Boone directed the film and co-wrote it with Knate Gwaltney.

The movie’s release was delayed several times after production, including changes connected with reshoots and the broader disruption to theatrical distribution in 2020. Disney’s acquisition of 21st Century Fox was completed in 2019, but The New Mutants remained the last X-Men-related film released under the 20th Century Fox banner. Dark Phoenix, released in 2019, was the final mainline ensemble film before it.
