Which 2013 film features Idris Elba portraying Nelson Mandela?

The 2013 film featuring Idris Elba as Nelson Mandela is Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.

Directed by Justin Chadwick, the film is based on Mandela’s 1994 autobiography, Long Walk to Freedom. It follows his life from childhood through his political activism, imprisonment and presidency.

Idris Elba played Mandela, while Naomie Harris portrayed Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. The film was produced as a British-South African historical drama and was released internationally in late 2013.

Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom is different from Invictus, the 2009 film directed by Clint Eastwood in which Morgan Freeman portrays Mandela during the 1995 Rugby World Cup. The two films therefore depict different periods and use different actors.
