The Last Supper is Leonardo da Vinci's 1495–1498 mural depicting Jesus and the Apostles.

Leonardo painted it on a wall of the refectory at Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan for the Dominican community. Instead of using the durable buon fresco method, he experimented with tempera and oil on dry plaster, allowing revisions but making the image unusually vulnerable.

The composition captures the moment after Jesus announces that one apostle will betray him. Each apostle reacts differently, while Christ forms the visual and theological centre of the scene.

Repeated restorations have been necessary because of the painting's unstable technique, wartime damage, and centuries of environmental deterioration. The work remains in its original Milanese refectory.
