Where is SpaceX's Starbase launch site located?

The story behind the answer

SpaceX's Starbase launch site is located near Boca Chica, Texas.

The site lies on the southern Texas Gulf Coast, close to the Mexico–United States border. SpaceX developed it for testing and launching Starship vehicles, while the company's headquarters and major engineering operations are elsewhere.

The place was originally known as the Boca Chica launch site. SpaceX later used the name Starbase for the broader company facility and surrounding community. This can cause confusion because Starbase may refer to the launch and manufacturing complex, not only a single launch pad.

Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg are important U.S. spaceports, but neither is Starship's Texas development site. Starbase's location also allows launches over the Gulf of Mexico and supports large-scale vehicle testing.
