Where is Saudi Aramco's headquarters located?

The story behind the answer

Saudi Aramco's headquarters is located in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Dhahran is an important energy center in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, near the major cities of Dammam and Al Khobar. The area became central to the kingdom's petroleum industry after commercial oil production began in the 1930s.

Saudi Aramco, officially Saudi Arabian Oil Company, developed from the Arabian American Oil Company. It became fully owned by the Saudi government in 1988 and later sold shares to the public in a landmark 2019 initial public offering.

Riyadh is Saudi Arabia's political capital, but it is not Saudi Aramco's headquarters. Dhahran remains closely associated with the company's exploration, production, engineering, and corporate operations.
