Where does the Isle of Man TT start and finish?

The story behind the answer

Where does the Isle of Man TT start and finish? The correct answer is the TT Grandstand.

The TT Grandstand is located on Glencrutchery Road in Douglas, the capital of the Isle of Man. It contains the event’s start line, pit lane, paddock facilities, timing areas and other race infrastructure.

Riders begin each lap from the start line beside the grandstand before completing the Mountain Course. After covering the circuit’s public roads, they return to the same area to complete the lap and finish the race.

The present start-and-finish area developed during the early history of the TT. The start line was moved to the Glencrutchery Road area in 1920, creating the location associated with the modern course. The grandstand remains the central race-day venue for the TT and Manx Grand Prix.
