Jeremiah Fisher went to Cabo during spring break in The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3. The trip becomes central to the conflict between Jeremiah and Belly.
While in Cabo, Jeremiah hooked up with Lacie Barone during a period when he and Belly had broken up. Belly later learns what happened, but she views the situation differently from Jeremiah because of the emotional understanding surrounding their separation.
Cabo is a popular shorthand for Cabo San Lucas, a resort city at the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California Peninsula. The show uses the trip as backstory rather than presenting the destination as the primary setting for a full episode. It is therefore distinct from Belly’s later Paris storyline and from Conrad’s life in California.
