What was the title of the Rascal Flatts song featured in Pixar’s Cars?

The Rascal Flatts song featured in Pixar’s Cars is “Life Is a Highway.”

The country group recorded a new version of the song for the film’s soundtrack. It plays during a fast-moving sequence showing McQueen traveling toward California while transporting himself in Mack’s trailer.

Canadian musician Tom Cochrane originally recorded “Life Is a Highway” in 1991. Rascal Flatts’ version introduced the song to a new generation and became strongly associated with the Cars franchise, especially its road-trip imagery.

The soundtrack also includes songs by artists such as Sheryl Crow, Brad Paisley, and James Taylor. Randy Newman composed the film’s original score and wrote several songs, including “Our Town,” which received an Academy Award nomination.
