Answer
Who Are You
Answer
Who Are You
The title of the CSI theme song is “Who Are You.” The song was recorded by the English rock band the Who and written by guitarist Pete Townshend. It was released in 1978 as the title track of the band’s eighth studio album, shortly before drummer Keith Moon died.
The track became one of the Who’s signature songs. Its album version runs for more than six minutes, while shorter edits were released as singles. The song’s lyrics were partly inspired by Townshend’s encounter with Sex Pistols members Steve Jones and Paul Cook after a long night of drinking.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation used “Who Are You” as its opening theme throughout the original series, which ran from 2000 to 2015. The choice created a memorable connection between the crime drama and classic rock. A common mix-up is confusing it with other songs by the Who: later CSI franchise shows used different Who songs, although CSI: Vegas returned to “Who Are You.”
