What was the title of the Backstreet Boys’ first international studio album?

The Backstreet Boys’ first international studio album was titled *Backstreet Boys*. It was released internationally in 1996 and introduced the group to audiences outside the United States.

The album had already been issued in the United States in 1997 under the same title, after the group had built a strong European following. Its songs included “Quit Playing Games (with My Heart),” “As Long as You Love Me” and “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).”

A common mix-up is confusing this debut with *Backstreet’s Back*, the group’s second international album. The two releases overlap substantially in songs, but they were separate albums issued in different markets. The debut helped establish the group’s polished harmonies and choreographed pop style.
