Bubbly Basin was the first expansion-pass content for Pokémon Pokopia, released in August 2026.
Pokopia received a paid three-part expansion pass. Bubbly Basin was the first part, while the remaining two parts were scheduled for late 2026 and 2027. The expansion-pass structure extended the game's world after its March 2026 launch.
The title refers to a new area associated with aquatic exploration and additional content. A later update connected with the expansion pass also allowed players to dive in water, reach previously unexplorable parts of the map, and encounter aquatic-themed Pokémon and furniture.
Bubbly Basin should not be confused with the base game's original biomes or with the names of individual Pokémon. It is the name of downloadable expansion content, making it a useful marker in Pokopia's post-launch history.
