Smearguru is a Smeargle known for exceptional painting talent in Pokémon Pokopia.
Smearguru is one of Pokopia's named special Pokémon. The character's identity builds on Smeargle's established connection with art: Smeargle is famous in the Pokémon series for using its tail to paint with a distinctive colored fluid.
In Pokopia, Smearguru's talent becomes part of the settlement's cast of memorable residents. The game gives individual Pokémon descriptive names and personal roles, helping the restored world feel like a community rather than a collection of generic encounters.
Smearguru can be confused with newer artistic Pokémon such as Grafaiai, but the character is specifically a Smeargle. The name also should not be mistaken for an ordinary species label: Smeargle is the species, while Smearguru is the special character's name in the story.
