“I'm Lovin' It” was the title and central phrase of McDonald's global advertising campaign launched in 2003.
The campaign marked a major effort to give McDonald's a more unified international voice. Its short, conversational wording was designed to work across markets, while the accompanying music and visual style helped connect television, radio, outdoor, packaging, and other advertising formats.
The campaign is often associated with Justin Timberlake because he recorded the vocal version of the jingle, but the branding platform itself belongs to McDonald's. The phrase should therefore not be answered with the singer's name.
McDonald's had used many earlier slogans, including “You Deserve a Break Today” and “We Love to See You Smile.” “I'm Lovin' It” differed by becoming a long-running global identity rather than a short-lived national tagline.
