What was the title of Elvis Presley's last album?

The story behind the answer

Moody Blue was the title of Elvis Presley's last studio album. RCA Records released it on July 19, 1977, about four weeks before Presley's death, making it the final studio album issued during his lifetime.

The album was assembled from studio recordings and live performances because Presley had recorded relatively little new material during the preceding period. It included songs from his final Graceland sessions, including “Moody Blue” and “She Thinks I Still Care,” along with live performances such as “Unchained Melody.” The title track had been recorded in the Jungle Room at Graceland in February 1976.

Moody Blue was commercially successful after Presley's death. It reached No. 3 on the Billboard album chart and became his final album to reach the US Top 40. The title song also became his last lifetime No. 1 hit on the country chart. Some original pressings were issued on translucent blue vinyl, matching the album's name.

Elvis in Concert, released later in 1977, is sometimes mistaken for his final album. It was a posthumous live soundtrack, whereas Moody Blue was his final studio album.
