Bob Marley’s 1977 studio album featuring “Jamming” and “Three Little Birds” was Exodus.
Island Records released Exodus on 3 June 1977. Bob Marley and the Wailers recorded much of it in London after Marley left Jamaica following an assassination attempt in 1976. The album combined political songs, spiritual themes, and accessible love and celebration tracks.
“Jamming,” “Waiting in Vain,” and “Three Little Birds” became especially familiar songs from the record. Exodus is often regarded as one of Marley’s defining albums, but it is sometimes confused with Kaya, the 1978 album that followed it and included “Is This Love.”
