Answer
Nervous Breakdown
Black Flag’s 1978 debut EP was titled “Nervous Breakdown.”
“Nervous Breakdown” was the first release by the American punk band Black Flag. SST Records issued the four-track EP in January 1979, although the recordings were made in 1978. The lineup featured singer Keith Morris, guitarist Greg Ginn, bassist Chuck Dukowski, and drummer Brian Migdol. The title track became one of the band’s best-known songs and a concise example of their fast, aggressive early sound.
The EP was recorded at Media Art Studios in Hermosa Beach, California. Its release helped establish Black Flag within the Southern California punk scene, even though distribution was initially limited. Keith Morris left the band soon afterward and was replaced by Ron Reyes. Later Black Flag releases, including “Jealous Again” and “Six Pack,” are often grouped with the debut EP but were separate records.
