What was the name of the group Beyoncé joined before launching her solo career?

Beyoncé joined Destiny’s Child before launching her solo career.

The group formed in Houston in the late 1990s and became one of the best-selling female groups in music history. Its best-known lineup included Beyoncé Knowles, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. Mathew Knowles managed the group during its rise.

Destiny’s Child first recorded as Girl’s Tyme before changing its name. The group’s breakthrough came with songs including “No, No, No” and “Say My Name,” followed by major albums such as The Writing’s on the Wall and Survivor.

Beyoncé remained the group’s lead singer, but Destiny’s Child was a group achievement rather than a solo project. It officially disbanded in the mid-2000s, after which Beyoncé concentrated on her individual recording and acting career.
