What was the name of the first Assassin's Creed game released in 2007?
Answer
Assassin's Creed
Answer
Assassin's Creed
The first Assassin’s Creed game released in 2007 was titled Assassin’s Creed.
The game introduced Altaïr Ibn-La’Ahad, a skilled Assassin whose rank is reduced after a failed mission. His master, Al Mualim, sends him to eliminate targets across the Holy Land, including cities such as Jerusalem, Acre, and Damascus. The missions establish the series’ central conflict between Assassins and Templars.
Assassin’s Creed also introduced the Animus, a machine that allows modern-day users to relive genetic memories. Desmond Miles is the modern protagonist in the original game, while Altaïr’s historical story forms the main playable experience.
The title is sometimes confused with the broader franchise name, but the 2007 release is officially the first game and has no subtitle. Assassin’s Creed II followed in 2009 and shifted the historical focus to Renaissance Italy and Ezio Auditore.
