What was the name of the fictional land in C.S. Lewis’s Narnia books?

The story behind the answer

Narnia is the fictional land in C.S. Lewis’s Narnia books.

The Chronicles of Narnia is a series of seven fantasy novels set primarily in the land of Narnia. The world is ruled by the lion Aslan, and several stories feature children from Earth who enter Narnia through magical gateways or objects.

Lewis published the books between 1950 and 1956. The series includes The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, The Silver Chair, The Horse and His Boy, The Magician’s Nephew, and The Last Battle.

Narnia is sometimes confused with the settings of Lewis’s other imaginative works. Malacandra is the name for Mars in Out of the Silent Planet, Glome is the kingdom in Till We Have Faces, and Perelandra is the planet in the second Space Trilogy novel.
