What was the name of the 1986 independent debut EP from Guns N' Roses?

The story behind the answer

Guns N’ Roses’ 1986 independent debut EP was titled “Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide,” commonly written or spoken as “Live Like a Suicide.” It was released on December 16, 1986, through the UZI Suicide label, shortly before the band’s major-label breakthrough.

Although presented as a live recording, the EP was actually made from studio performances with audience noise added afterward. The band and its associates later explained that recording a genuine live album would have been too expensive, so the artificial crowd atmosphere helped create the intended effect.

The four-track release introduced the band’s rough early sound through originals such as “Reckless Life” and “Move to the City,” alongside covers of Rose Tattoo’s “Nice Boys” and Aerosmith’s “Mama Kin.” Only about 10,000 copies were reportedly issued on vinyl and cassette, making the original release a collectible.

The songs later reached a much larger audience when they were reissued with four acoustic tracks on the 1988 album “G N’ R Lies.” That later release is why the EP is sometimes confused with a full-length Guns N’ Roses album.
