What was the name of Charlie Pace's band?

Charlie Pace's band was called Drive Shaft. In Lost's backstory, Charlie formed the fictional British rock band with his older brother Liam Pace. Charlie played bass, while Liam served as the band's lead singer and guitarist. Their success came from the song “You All Everybody,” which made them a one-hit wonder.

Drive Shaft's rise helped explain both Charlie's musical talent and his vulnerability. Fame brought touring, money, and access to drugs, but Liam's heroin addiction damaged the brothers' relationship and destabilized the band. Charlie eventually developed an addiction of his own, and Drive Shaft broke up as its popularity declined.

The band is part of the show's wider habit of using music to reveal character. Charlie's musical identity returns in flashbacks and in the season-six episode “Happily Ever After,” when Desmond is asked to bring Drive Shaft to a charity concert. Drive Shaft is fictional; it is not the same as Oceanic, the airline operating Flight 815, or The Others, the island group opposing the survivors.
