Google's IPO price in 2004 was $85 per share.
Google held its initial public offering on August 19, 2004, making the company publicly traded on the NASDAQ National Market. The offering priced shares at $85 each and raised approximately $1.67 billion, giving Google a market capitalization of more than $23 billion at the time.
The IPO was unusual because Google used an online auction process rather than relying solely on a traditional fixed allocation. Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse served as underwriters, and the company offered 19,605,052 shares.
The $85 figure is the original offering price, not Google's later market price and not a split-adjusted comparison with modern quotations. Google later became part of Alphabet's corporate structure, and its stock history is also complicated by the creation of different share classes. Those later changes do not alter the original 2004 IPO price.
