The Green Bay Packers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 42–38 in their 2026 NFL preseason game on August 28.
The game was Green Bay’s third and final preseason contest. The Packers opened with a 28–9 loss at Pittsburgh, responded with a 33–13 victory at Denver, and then finished by beating Arizona at Lambeau Field.
Arizona’s 38 points made the matchup one of the highest-scoring games of the preseason. The Cardinals had already played the Hall of Fame Game against Carolina and also faced Las Vegas and Dallas before visiting Green Bay.
A preseason score is recorded in the same format as a regular-season score, but it does not affect the team’s regular-season record. Green Bay’s exhibition schedule ended with a 2–1 record after this four-point victory.
