Taylor Swift’s “august” reached number 46 on the Billboard Global 200 after its seasonal resurgence.
The track’s renewed popularity was driven by recurring August listening in multiple countries. It first charted internationally when Folklore was released, then gained additional attention as fans made the song an annual part of the month’s online culture.
The Global 200 ranks songs using data from more than 200 territories, combining streaming and sales activity. “august” also reached the top 40 in countries including Australia, Canada, Ireland, Malaysia, Singapore, and the United States, while later resurgences produced new peaks in several markets.
Number 46 is a global ranking, not the song’s U.S. Hot 100 peak. In the United States, “august” originally peaked at number 23, while its Hot Rock & Alternative Songs peak was number five.
