Taylor Swift’s “august” reached a new peak of number 46 on the Billboard Global 200 in 2023.
The Billboard Global 200 ranks songs worldwide using streaming and sales data from more than 200 territories. “August” first became a major seasonal talking point through its repeated August streaming resurgence, and that renewed attention helped it return to international chart activity.
The song’s new Global 200 peak came three years after Folklore’s release. That lag is important: the track was not simply benefiting from a conventional album-release campaign in 2023. Instead, its recurring calendar-based popularity continued to send listeners back to the recording.
The Global 200 peak should not be confused with the song’s US Hot 100 peak of number 23 or its Hot Rock & Alternative Songs peak of number 5. Those are separate charts with different geographic or genre scopes.
