What was Taylor Swift’s “august” peak position on Canada’s Hot 100?

Taylor Swift’s “august” peaked at number 16 on Canada’s Hot 100.

That Canadian peak came when the song first charted after the release of Folklore in July 2020. The track also reached the top 20 in several other countries, including Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore, showing that its appeal extended beyond the United States.

The song later experienced a second kind of chart life. Each August, listeners streamed it heavily, and its popularity returned to charts or streaming rankings in multiple markets. This pattern helped turn an album track into an annual seasonal favorite.

The Canadian position is easy to confuse with the song’s number 46 peak on the Billboard Global 200. Those are different charts: Canada’s Hot 100 measures performance in Canada, while the Global 200 aggregates worldwide activity.
