Singapore’s chart position should not be confused with the song’s US rankings. In the United States, “august” achieved its best performance on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart, while its Billboard Hot 100 entry was a separate measure. Each chart uses its own market data and ranking rules, so a peak in Singapore cannot be directly substituted for a US peak.
