What was Taylor Swift’s 2022 UK chart peak for “august”?

Taylor Swift’s “august” reached number 78 on the UK Singles Chart in 2022.

The ranking illustrates how the song’s annual August trend extended beyond the United States. Although “august” was released in 2020, its title repeatedly brought it back into listeners’ playlists and streaming charts when the named month arrived. The 2022 UK appearance was part of that later seasonal revival.

This number is a UK position, not the song’s global peak or its original position in another country. The same track reached number 46 on the Billboard Global 200 and achieved higher placements in several other national markets. Chart numbers should therefore always be paired with the territory and year being discussed.

The UK resurgence also demonstrates how streaming can revive an older album track without a new single release. “august” was never dependent on a newly filmed music video or a major remix for its recurring attention. Instead, fan listening, online discussion, and the obvious calendar connection created a predictable annual moment.
