What was Mark Few’s record during Gonzaga’s undefeated 2020–21 regular season?

The story behind the answer

2026 Hall of Fame inductee Mark Few led Gonzaga to a 26–0 record during the 2020–21 regular season.

That season was historic for Gonzaga. The Bulldogs went undefeated in both regular-season play and West Coast Conference competition, becoming one of the rare modern Division I teams to reach the NCAA tournament without a regular-season loss.

Gonzaga entered the NCAA tournament as the No. 1 overall seed and extended its winning streak to 31 games before losing to Baylor in the national championship game. The 26–0 regular-season mark therefore does not describe the team’s full season record.

Few became Gonzaga’s head coach in 1999 after serving many years as an assistant. His long tenure transformed the Bulldogs into a national power and produced repeated NCAA tournament appearances, conference titles and Final Four runs.
