Tumblr’s Queue allows users to schedule posts for publication later. Instead of appearing immediately, queued posts are released according to a schedule chosen for the blog.
The feature is useful for creators who want a steady stream of updates without having to publish manually throughout the day. A user can add posts to the queue and adjust the posting times or frequency. Tumblr also offers a separate Schedule option for assigning a particular date and time to an individual post; scheduled posts are handled through the queue system.
Queue is not the same as Drafts. A draft remains unpublished until the user returns to edit and publish it, while a queued post is intended for automatic publication. “Timer” and “Archive” are not Tumblr’s names for this scheduling feature. The queue can be used for text, photos, videos, quotes, links, and other Tumblr post formats.
