What superhero team appears in Vindicators 3?

What superhero team appears in “Vindicators 3”? The team is the Vindicators.

The Vindicators are a group of intergalactic superheroes who recruit Rick and Morty to help confront the returning threat of Worldender. Their members include Vance Maximus, Supernova, Alan Rails, Crocubot and Million Ants, with Noob-Noob serving as an intern. The episode presents them as a grand, galaxy-saving team while simultaneously mocking superhero-team conventions.

The title “Vindicators 3: The Return of Worldender” refers to their third adventure, although the second adventure happened off-screen before the episode begins. Rick and Morty previously worked with the team, but Rick is annoyed that the Vindicators completed another mission without inviting them. That resentment helps fuel the episode’s chaotic trap sequence.

The Vindicators are sometimes compared with Marvel-style teams such as the Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy, but they are not the Gromflomites, the Cromulons or the Numbericons. Those are separate groups or species in the Rick and Morty universe. The Vindicators later received comics and an animated spin-off, expanding the superhero parody beyond this original 2017 episode.
