What subtitle follows the title of Halo 5?

The subtitle of Halo 5 is Guardians.

Halo 5: Guardians is a first-person shooter developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios for Xbox One in 2015. It is the fifth mainline entry in the Halo series and follows Halo 4, continuing the story of Master Chief and the broader conflict surrounding the Forerunners, humanity, and artificial intelligence.

The game divides its campaign between two fireteams. Blue Team is led by Master Chief, while Fireteam Osiris is led by Spartan Jameson Locke. This structure supports the game’s central pursuit narrative and gives players different perspectives on the events.

“Guardians” is part of the official title and should not be confused with “Reclaimer,” a term strongly associated with humanity’s relationship to Forerunner technology. Halo 5: Guardians also introduced several multiplayer changes, including a stronger emphasis on Spartan mobility and competitive arena play.
