What song by Survivor is featured in Rocky III’s training montage?

“Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor is featured in Rocky III’s training montage. The song accompanies Rocky Balboa’s preparation for his rematch with Clubber Lang and became one of the franchise’s most recognizable musical signatures.

Survivor recorded the song after Sylvester Stallone contacted the band about contributing music to the film. The track’s driving rhythm and motivational lyrics matched the movie’s themes of rebuilding confidence and returning to disciplined training.

“Eye of the Tiger” became a major commercial success outside the film and reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100. It also received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song.

Viewers sometimes confuse it with “Gonna Fly Now,” the main theme from the original Rocky, or “Burning Heart,” Survivor’s song from Rocky IV. Those tracks belong to different films, while “Eye of the Tiger” is specifically associated with Rocky III.
