Codemasters developed and published the 2015 racing video game F1 2015.
The game was created by Codemasters Birmingham and is based mainly on the 2015 Formula One season. It was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in July 2015, making it the first entry in the series designed for eighth-generation consoles. A later Linux version was developed and published by Feral Interactive.
F1 2015 included the official teams, drivers, cars, and circuits from the 2015 championship, while also preserving content from the 2014 season. It introduced a Pro Season mode with fewer driving assists and no traditional heads-up display, giving experienced players a more demanding simulation-style challenge.
Codemasters is a British video-game company known for racing franchises such as Dirt, Grid, and the official Formula One series. One common confusion is Feral Interactive’s Linux release: Feral handled that port, but Codemasters was the original developer and publisher of the main game.
