What planet is the home of the Gungans?

The planet that is home to the Gungans is Naboo. The amphibious Gungans are native inhabitants of Naboo, where they live primarily in underwater cities and lake regions rather than in the human settlements on the planet’s surface.

The best-known Gungan city is Otoh Gunga, a vast underwater settlement ruled by Boss Nass. Naboo’s human population, including Queen Padmé Amidala, is centered around cities such as Theed. Although the two societies have a history of distrust and separation, they unite during the Trade Federation’s invasion in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

Naboo is not the same as Tatooine, where Luke Skywalker grows up, or Coruscant, the galaxy’s political capital. Endor is the forest moon associated with the Ewoks, not the Gungans. Naboo is also notable as the homeworld of Padmé Amidala and Sheev Palpatine, who later becomes Emperor.
