Taylor Swift’s “august” reached number 13 on Australia’s ARIA singles chart.
The Australian result was one of several strong international peaks for the song after Folklore’s release. In the same initial chart period, “august” reached number 11 in Malaysia, number 12 in Singapore, and number 16 in Canada.
The number 13 position is specific to Australia’s ARIA chart. It should not be confused with the song’s number 23 peak on the US Billboard Hot 100 or its later number 46 peak on the Billboard Global 200.
The track’s international performance helped establish it as more than a US fan favorite. Its late-summer imagery also translated easily across countries, which helped the annual August trend spread through global streaming platforms and social networks.
