2026 Hall of Fame inductee Elena Delle Donne was selected second overall by the Chicago Sky in the 2013 WNBA draft.
Delle Donne played college basketball at the University of Delaware, where she became one of the most prolific scorers in NCAA women’s basketball. Her size, shooting range and versatility made her one of the most highly regarded prospects in the draft.
She won WNBA Rookie of the Year in 2013 and was selected to the All-Star team in her first professional season. In 2015, she won her first WNBA Most Valuable Player Award and led the league in scoring.
Delle Donne later joined the Washington Mystics and helped them win the 2019 WNBA championship. She earned another MVP award that season, becoming one of the league’s most accomplished two-way forwards.
