What nickname does Tangrowth use in Pokémon Pokopia?

Tangrowth uses the nickname Professor Tangrowth in Pokémon Pokopia.

Professor Tangrowth is a character who has taken responsibility for studying the devastated environment. The character meets Ditto early in the story and helps investigate why humans and Pokémon disappeared from the region.

The title is a playful variation on the recurring Pokémon professor tradition. In many Pokémon games, a human professor introduces the setting, explains the creatures, or gives the player an early partner. Pokopia instead places a Tangrowth in that role, reinforcing the game’s unusual perspective.

Professor Tangrowth also participates in the restoration story. Ditto and Tangrowth work together to repair habitats and uncover records left by humanity. The nickname is not the name of a separate human scientist; it is the title used by the Tangrowth character.
