What name did SpaceX give its first operational drone ship for rocket landings?

The story behind the answer

SpaceX named its first operational drone ship Just Read the Instructions.

Just Read the Instructions was an autonomous spaceport drone ship used to recover Falcon 9 first stages at sea. Its name came from science-fiction author Iain M. Banks’s Culture novels, where ships often have unusual, witty names.

The vessel supported SpaceX’s push to recover boosters after launches from Florida. The company also used a second drone ship named Of Course I Still Love You, another Banks-inspired name. Later, A Shortfall of Gravitas joined the fleet.

A common mix-up is assigning the first successful drone-ship landing to the wrong vessel. The first successful Falcon 9 landing at sea occurred during the CRS-8 mission in April 2016, on Of Course I Still Love You. Just Read the Instructions became an important part of later recovery operations, especially for launches from Florida.
