What Los Angeles venue hosted the 2022 American Music Awards?

The 2022 American Music Awards were hosted at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Held on November 20, 2022, the ceremony was the 50th American Music Awards. Wayne Brady hosted the show, which recognized popular artists, songs, and albums through the AMAs' fan-focused voting system. Taylor Swift led the winners with six awards, while Bad Bunny received the most nominations.

Microsoft Theater is part of the L.A. LIVE entertainment complex in downtown Los Angeles. It opened in 2007 and was originally known as Nokia Theatre before receiving its current name in 2015. That naming history can cause confusion when older event listings refer to the same venue as Nokia Theatre.

The Hollywood Bowl, Dolby Theatre, and Shrine Auditorium are also prominent Los Angeles venues, but none hosted the 2022 AMAs. The Dolby Theatre is particularly easy to confuse with Microsoft Theater because it hosts the Academy Awards.
