The stylized Hyundai emblem forms the letter H.
Hyundai’s oval badge contains a slanted, flowing H that identifies the Hyundai Motor Company. The letter is the most immediate reading of the design, while the oval gives the mark a contained, global appearance. Hyundai’s official explanations also interpret the two angled sides of the H as two people shaking hands: the company and a customer.
That secondary interpretation is why the logo is more than a plain block letter. The figures lean toward each other inside the oval, suggesting trust and agreement. The emblem was introduced as Hyundai developed a stronger international identity for its passenger vehicles.
The mark is sometimes mistaken for an abstract X or a pair of people only. Those readings describe parts of the visual concept, but the emblem’s central stylized character is the capital H from Hyundai.
