Amar’e Stoudemire wore number 32 with the Phoenix Suns. The number became closely associated with his rise from a teenage NBA prospect to one of the league’s dominant interior scorers.
Phoenix selected Stoudemire with the ninth pick in the 2002 NBA draft. He won Rookie of the Year in his first season and later became a key part of Mike D’Antoni’s fast-paced Suns teams.
Stoudemire later wore other numbers with other teams, which can cause confusion in jersey-number questions. His Phoenix identity, however, is strongly tied to number 32, the number displayed during his most productive Suns seasons.
