What is the title of the opening song in Disney's Tangled?

The opening song in Disney's Tangled is “When Will My Life Begin?”

Rapunzel performs the song near the beginning of the film while describing her daily routine inside the tower. The number introduces her artistic hobbies, curiosity, and growing desire to see the world beyond her home. It establishes her character before the main adventure begins.

Tangled was released in 2010 and was directed by Nathan Greno and Byron Howard. Mandy Moore provides Rapunzel's original English voice and sings the character's songs. The film is based loosely on the German fairy tale “Rapunzel” collected by the Brothers Grimm.

“I See the Light” is another major song from Tangled, but it appears later as a romantic duet between Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. “I've Got a Dream” is performed by the pub thugs, while “Mother Knows Best” is sung by the controlling Gothel. These different placements can make the songs easy to confuse.
