What is the title of the opening song in Disney’s Frozen?

The opening song in Disney’s Frozen is “Frozen Heart.”

The song is performed by ice harvesters as they cut and transport ice in the frozen wilderness near Arendelle. Its imagery establishes ice as both a valuable natural resource and a symbolic force in the story before the film shifts to Anna and Elsa’s childhood.

“Frozen Heart” was written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, the songwriting team behind the film’s original songs. The sequence introduces Kristoff as a child, although the story does not yet explain his future relationship with Sven.

The song is sometimes mistaken for “Let It Go,” the film’s best-known musical number. “Let It Go” occurs later, after Elsa leaves Arendelle and creates her ice palace.
