What is the title of the final episode of the original Gilmore Girls?

The final episode of the original Gilmore Girls is titled “Bon Voyage.”

“Bon Voyage” is the twenty-second episode of season 7 and the 153rd episode overall. It originally aired on The CW on May 15, 2007, and served as the conclusion of the original seven-season run. The title fits the episode’s central departure: Rory accepts a reporting job covering Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and must leave Stars Hollow sooner than expected.

The town organizes a surprise graduation and farewell party for Rory, bringing together many of the residents who shaped the series. The episode also advances Lorelai and Luke’s relationship, ending with a kiss and a renewed sense of possibility. Its final visit to Luke’s Diner deliberately mirrors the opening of the pilot episode.

“A Year in the Life” is not the original finale; it is a later Netflix revival released in 2016. “The Return of the Prodigal Daughter” and “The Ungraduate” are earlier episode titles, making them plausible but incorrect alternatives.
